Simple, bold.

Hi, I’m Kyson.

For the last 15 years I’ve been obsessed with transformative design and storytelling.

I’ve been practicing my craft as a designer on brands like Rivian, Boosted Boards, and Ford and it has worked every time.

Then, I broke. I suffered a major existential crisis and took a long pause.

During that time, something in me changed. Now I'm back. This time, I'm playing a different game, and the stakes feel high.

Art and design have a greater power than to make corporations money. To prove it to myself, I began telling personal stories through films and I immediately connected with hundreds of thousands of people.

In the process, it healed parts of me—and to my surprise, it did the same for others.

I’m here to offer what I’ve learned.

Storytelling is the most powerful technology humans have. By telling a story you can transform yourself and the audience. However, to tell that kind of a story, you must reveal the hidden parts of yourself. You must let them out. You must let them speak and express themselves in an artistic medium. This sounds hard but it’s been mapped by many wisdom teachers and artists for centuries. For this class we will study the ‘monomyth’ aka the repeatable pattern in all stories of awakening. In four weeks you’ll find your pain and you’ll form a loving relationship with it. You’ll begin the work of making art that expresses the beauty and the heartbreak of that new relationship. Art lives in the tension.
